Are acne scars cream effective?
I’m a 19 years old male, and I have lots of acne scars, I tried a derma-roller when I was 16, but nothing happened. I went to a skin specialist last month,and inquired for some treatments, she prescribed me lots of creams, and the creams were really expensive! are creams effective in removing acne scars? they also use lasers but it is really an expensive treatment…Do you know what is the most effective way of treating acne scars? or if there is a certain cream that can really remove acne scars..If you can name some I would really appreciate it..
What kind of acne scars are they? Are they rolling acne scars? Or are they pitted? If tehy’re pitted, NO cream will have any effect. I would advise you to look into TCA Cross over laser treatments as it works especially well on pitted acne scars. Some derms will push you to opt for laser treatment as it earns them more money. Laser isn’t necessarily better. If they’re rolling, creams MAY work but only if you make it a point to stay out of the sun and use sunscreen every 2 hours. In my experience, I haven’t found any over the counter creams that have any effect. Natural remedies are too weak for acne scars. Many people who feel the natural remedies work dont realize the fact that acne scars start to look better over time regardless of the fact that you put lemon juice or whatever on your face. The lemon juice barely does anything. Look into TCA Cross. It will, however, require multiple treatments.
