Gels that treat adult acne contain ingredients such as sulfur, salicylic acid, tea tree oil, benzoyl peroxide, Vitamin E, aloe vera, zinc etc. People with acne should avoid products that contain lanolin and oil as these will aggravate the acne. Gels with natural products such as aloe vera are more popular among people who prefer herbal products. Aloe Vera is used in many cosmetic products as it is a safe ingredient. Aloe gels provide a mask against pollution and dust and help the skin to protect. It also helps to reduce old scars, and known for its calming effects for people with irritated and inflammed skin.
Gels are of course not the only acne treatments, and it happens that some people don’t tolerate them, or just don’t like using them. For people with dry skin, if gels are not a solution for you, don’t worry.
